Overview

• Niagara 2292 is a desktop form-factor External Passive Bypass Switch supporting Copper, Multi-Mode and Single-Mode Fiber Gigabit Ethernet options. Niagara 2292 is designed with a built-in programmable bypass circuit to provide failsafe operations and maximum uptime for any network link. The bypass circuit operates in absence of power.
• Niagara 2292 is designed to detect an inline-appliance malfunction such as a software crash, power failure or link loss, and automatically re-route network traffic away from the inline device directly through the network link. Once the system is back up or the power is restored to the appliance, network traffic is seamlessly diverted back to the in-line device, allowing it to resume its critical functions.
• Niagara 2292 External Passive Bypass Switch is designed to integrate with inline-networking servers and high-end appliances requiring high speed networking and mission-critical bypass/failover capabilities.
